All students must have a Chromebook beginning in 6th grade. Chromebooks can be any brand and they must include a touch screen. A protective case and accidental damage protection are recommended. School personnel cannot repair personal devices. Devices must be enrolled in the Haven Google domain so staff can manage the device during state testing and while on campus. The devices are un-enrolled when the student moves or graduates. Please be advised Google has made changes to its EOL auto-updating based on specific brands and models please see attached information from Google to see if this affects your student. All 6th-12th grade students must have a Google Account/Chromebook agreement on file with the school, please see attached agreement.
Students can apply for hardship status to offset the cost of purchasing a device. To participate in the Device Rental Program, complete a hardship application and submit it to the school’s front office. Once your application is approved, submit the completed device rental agreement along with the semester payment to the front office. Students should take the receipt to the media center to check out their device.
A higher standard of dress encourages greater respect for others and results in a higher standard of behavior. Haven dress code guidelines indicate appropriate school dress during normal school days. Haven Schools reserve the right to interpret these guidelines and/or make changes during the school year. Every student shall wear the school uniform. Teachers will conduct a uniform check daily. School personnel will notify parents by phone or letter for the first and second violations. A third violation in a 9-week period requires a student to wait in the front office until school personnel can reach a parent to remedy the violation.

Parents may not purchase an article of clothing and embroider it with a Haven logo. This is a copyright infringement.
Hair: Hair must be neat and clean with no "unnatural" colors i.e. fluorescent, pink, bright green, Mohawks, etc. No hats, bandanas or headbands may be worn. No headwear is allowed except hair bows for girls, hair bands, etc.
Shoes: Students must always wear closed heel and closed toe shoes with socks. No sandals, flip-flops, heavy military type boots or shoes with metal tips may be worn. Heels must be a reasonable height.
Uniform shirts must be tucked in. The number one uniform violation is untucked shirts. Shirts are purchased through Zoghby's or Dennis Uniforms
. Uniform shirts come in several colors and feature the school logo. Each child is required to have at least one royal blue polo shirt.
Bottoms: All uniform bottoms that have belt loops must be worn with a belt through the belt loops, worn at the waist, and be in good repair. Girls are also permitted to wear skirts, jumpers, and capri pants (if purchased from Zogby’s or Dennis Uniforms. No rivets, cargo pants, cargo shorts, overalls, zip-off style pants, nor jeans of any color or style are allowed. Bottoms may be khaki or navy only.
Outerwear: : All students are required to wear Haven approved "logo" outerwear. This apparel may be purchased through Zoghby's or Dennis Uniforms. Students who have rented the approved athletic warm-ups and are currently on a Haven team (extra-curricular activity), shall be eligible to wear the warm-up top for that sport during the season only. The full warm-up can be worn on game days. At the end of the season, the warm-up must be returned. No other type of warm-up will be worn. If a Haven sports team purchases t-shirts or sweatshirts, they will be given one week to wear them and then only on Spirit Days. No other type of outerwear shall be approved to be worn inside or outside the buildings while on campus, field trips or athletic events while representing Bay Haven. Students may wear Bay Haven approved warm-up tops purchased for extra-curricular activities while inside. Jackets are not approved to be worn inside the classroom buildings. Students may wear jackets and approved outer wear while moving outside between classes and while traveling to and from the cafeteria for lunch.
All students (K-12) are expected to complete summer work. Students (K-8) who complete all work assigned for the grade level they are entering or participate in a Haven summer enrichment or remediation program, are eligible to attend an incentive party early in the new school year.
